HISTORY
The history of the school
is closely related to the history of the village. The people of the
village worked hard for the progress of the school. The government
also gave enough aid to the progress of the school. 70 years ago the
students in this village had to walk 10 kilometers to go to the
school at that time. The noble person Mr. Linganna nayak, Thotadamane
thought to start a school at his native. So that he construct a
thatched shed and started class for primary section in 1944. At first
some students in the first standard had ten years old. they had no
opportunity to go to school because there were no school near by the
village and the journey to school was very difficult. The first
standard began with only 27 students. After that large number
of students join this school but the facilities of the school
was very minimum. In 1960 the villagers and the school manager built
a new building .The people in the village willingly contributed their
help for the construction of the new school building and the play
ground, thus the school progressed. Mahabala Bhat was the first
headmaster of the school. In the beginning there were four teachers.
The villagers and the students had great respect to the teachers. The
villagers showed the great interest to attend the school functions.
Now the students in the school engage in
various activities like "Art & Science club, Social club,
Maths club, Vidyarangam and Eco club functions very well. Now there
were 643 students in this institution. Parents, management also
